Allison McKinney is a multimedia artist and photographer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Photography and Digital Imaging and Sculpture Intermedia. Her work has been exhibited locally and internationally.

She began her art practice after falling ill and being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. She discovered art making was an incredibly powerful form of grounding and healing, because of this, much of her work relates to the body, a vessel for intimate narrative. This allows for questioning and reflection on the transformation of the self and the experience of having a body. Engrossed by dynamics where identity intersects with biology, she often finds herself exploring the mechanics behind being seen and making sense of emotion.
